1) Vicon and IQinVision Sign Merger Agreement


Vicon Industries and IQinVision announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement that is expected to create a global provider of integrated solutions to the video security market. Vicon is a designer and producer of video security and surveillance systems. IQinVision designs and produces HD megapixel IP cameras.

The merger has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies and is subject to shareholder approval and other customary closing conditions. The transaction is expected to close in Vicon's September quarter. Under the terms of the merger agreement, Vicon will issue shares of its common stock to IQinVision shareholders in an all-stock merger whereby IQinVision shareholders will own approximately 50 percent of the outstanding common stock of the combined company. After the merger, Vicon will have approximately 9 million shares outstanding.

Both Vicon and IQinVision's product offerings will retain their existing branding, and both companies will continue to sell into and service their existing channels and customers. Following the merger, the board of directors of the combined company will consist of three directors designated by Vicon and three directors designated by IQinVision.

2) Mohican North Star Casino Expands IndigoVision System


Reliable Security, Sound & Data (RSSD), IndigoVision's Washington State based systems integrator, have won an expansion contract for the Mohican North Star's existing IndigoVision system.

Originally installed over five years ago, IndigoVision's solution scalability was a key factor in expanding the Mohican North Star's system with additional IndigoVision cameras. This new expansion covers additional areas of the casino, including the events center and parking garage.

3) Open Options, Entertech Systems and Suprema Team Up for Integrated Access Control Solutions


Open Options, and Entertech Systems, the official operating partner for Suprema in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland and Puerto Rico, have joined to provide an integrated and reliable solution for mass adoption of biometric access controls.

As a result of this partnership, Open Options' access control software now integrates with Suprema's line of biometric fingerprint detection, card, and PIN devices via Entertech Systems' application for access control management. This advantage results in allowing customers to enroll cardholders directly in Open Option's access control with information being passed to Suprema, which avoids having to enter duplicate data in two systems, saving time and labor.

4) Proximex Expands Partnership with Bosch Security Systems


Proximex, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco, announces the continued expansion of its partnership with Bosch Security Systems, through the integration of its physical security information management (PSIM) solution with video management and intrusion detection and control systems from Bosch. These enhancements, which represent integrations with the Bosch video management system (BVMS), the company's latest intrusion control panels, and communication receiver, continue to add value for joint customers who require the accurate display and correlation of critical information to manage a security incident more efficiently from their PSIM system.

Additional integrations between Proximex's PSIM and Bosch's panels enable end-users to receive information from the panels into the PSIM as well as collect, analyze and display detailed alarm information.

5) Exacq Signs Distribution Agreement with DVS


DVS have recently signed a distribution agreement with Exacq which will see them provide the exacqVision range of NVR and hybrid video recording and management products to UK installers and integrators.

"Over the next few months, using Exacq as our VMS platform will allow us to release a complete solution from various partners including analytics on the edge, retail analytics, and large hybrid solutions. Exacq works closely with all of our IP camera manufacturers and has a large integration team. This distribution agreement will effectively enable DVS to put three innovative high-end manufacturers and software houses together to provide a solution unique to DVS, and at a price point previously unseen on large high-end retail projects," said Shaun Bowie, MD of DVS.

6) Tyco UAE and CNL Software Partner for Major UAE PSIM Project


CNL Software has partnered for an iconic security management project with Tyco Fire & Security UAE, who specializes in turnkey solutions including design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection and fire detection systems, as well as security and integrated telecommunication solutions.

The two companies have recently won a significant project in UAE for a globally recognized brand. Tyco UAE will provide CNL Software within an iconic building to integrate and manage a wide range of physical security systems including video surveillance, fire detection, access control, intruder detection, and analytics.

7) Tri-Ed Announces Distribution Agreement with Nest

8) Daks Selects IDIS's Solution for Its Flagship London Stores


DAKS, one of Britain's fashion companies, has implemented IDIS's surveillance at its flagship stores on Old Bond Street and Jermyn Street in the heart of London. IDIS partner and one of the UK's faster growing security systems integrators, Rutledge Integrated Systems (RIS), won the contract to install and maintain IDIS's solution through a competitive bid situation.

Previously using an aging analog CCTV system, DAKS faced an increasing level of theft.
